AE Works, an integrated building design and consulting firm based in Pittsburgh announced it has been awarded a contract to provide professional planning and design services to support Allegheny County Sanitary Authority (ALCOSAN) with its requirements for a new Laboratory and Industrial Waste (IW) facility.

As ALCOSAN plans for its upcoming Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) Expansion to support their Clean Water Plan, this project addresses the need for a new Laboratory and IW Facility. Following detailed planning and assessment phases, AE Works will deliver a conceptual design that embraces ALCOSAN’s commitment to sustainability and enables organizational flexibility to adapt to changing testing protocols.

AE Works brings a comprehensive service offering and expertise in all aspects of facility planning and design relevant to this project, including: master planning and concept development, security risk management, site and laboratory planning and design expertise.

“AE Works is proud to support ALCOSAN on this project that helps them work toward their goal of improved water quality for people in Pittsburgh. We are excited to be a part of a project that supports our community,” Michael Cherock, PE, AE Works President and CEO.
