Steve uses his Revit expertise to bring design to life in our models to support collaboration with our clients and project visualization. With 14 years of design experience under his belt and over 6 years at AE Works, Steve brings a lot of stories about architecture and so much more! Steve shares a little more in this month’s design Q&A. Check it out below.
Q: What has been your favorite project to work on at AE Works? A: My favorite project was the Acupuncture Clinic at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center. It was a small, but challenging project because two different departments had to share the same space. We needed to develop a flexible design that met the unique needs of all stakeholders.
Q: Why you love being a designer? A: My whole family has been involved in construction. When I was kid, my grandfather taught me how to read blueprints. I grew up interested in how an idea on paper became a completed building.
Q: What do you best like about working at AE Works? A: I find it so rewarding to be able to help people. Some of my family members are Veterans and received care at VA Medical Centers. The projects we have done for healthcare clients and VA Medical Centers take on a very personal importance to me. I like being able to design spaces that help improve the healing experience for a Veteran.
Q: Share a fun fact about you! A: I especially enjoy cooking, especially anything on the grill.
