Drew Lengyel, RA, LEED AP – Project Architect
As a Project Architect, Lengyel will be responsible for the architectural design effort of AE Works’ projects spanning commercial, federal government and laboratory markets. He joins a growing Architecture and Interior Design group with whom he will collaborate to develop transformative design solutions for critical building projects.
A Registered Professional Architect, Drew brings over 20 years of experience as a seasoned design professional leading large-scale and technically complex public safety, adaptive reuse, and science and technology projects, including several signature buildings for one of the nation’s largest university campuses. Lengyel has a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Architecture from Kent State University
Randy Beatty – Senior Mechanical Engineer
AE Works is excited to welcome Randy Beatty as Senior Mechanical Engineer in the firm’s Washington, DC office.
In this role, Beatty will be responsible for leading development of mechanical engineering solutions and quality control of project deliverables, including federal government, healthcare and commercial projects. He joins a growing Engineering group with Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing expertise with whom he will collaborate and provide mentorship to develop transformative design solutions for critical building projects.
Beatty brings 30 years of experience as a seasoned senior mechanical engineer leading large-scale and highly complex federal government, commercial and laboratory projects throughout the country. Relevant experience ranges from the fast-track United States Pentagon Renovation and new Food and Drug Administration Campus development to laboratory and new construction projects with the Smithsonian Institute Research Laboratory and National Institutes of Health.
Matthew is a Senior Electrical Engineer with a career that spans over 20 years of experience on a diverse range of new construction and renovation projects. A seasoned senior engineer, he has led large-scale and highly complex government, commercial and healthcare projects throughout the region.
Zach Solarczyk, EIT – Mechanical Engineer
We are excited to welcome Zachary Solarczyk, EIT as an Mechanical Engineer – EIT in the firm’s Pittsburgh headquarters.
In this role, Solarczyk will be responsible for producing mechanical design deliverables for AE Works projects, including healthcare, laboratory, commercial and government projects. He joins a growing Engineering group with Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing expertise with whom he will collaborate to develop transformative design solutions for critical building projects.
Solarczyk has led mechanical design efforts on a range of commercial office, mixed use, hospital and education projects in Pittsburgh and throughout the region. He has a Bachelor Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.
Tabatha Mix – Assistant Project Manager
Tabatha Mix joins AE Works’ Project Services Group, which provides estimating, owner’s rep and program and construction management services. As an Assistant Project Manager, Mix will apply her construction background to support delivery of the firm’s projects spanning commercial, healthcare, laboratory and government facilities. Mix has a Master’s of Architectural Engineering, Construction option, from The Pennsylvania State University.
Aaron Adams – Mechanical Designer
Aaron Adams joins AE Works’ as a Mechanical Designer. Collaborating with an in-house team of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Engineers and Designers, Aaron will help develop transformative design solutions for the firm’s projects for commercial, healthcare, research and government clients. Adams has a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering, Mechanical option, from The Pennsylvania State University.
