Chris Hutchins – Assistant Project Manager
AE Works is excited to welcome Chris Hutchins as an Assistant Project Manager in the firm’s Pittsburgh Headquarters. This role will support strategic growth in the firm’s Project Services group, which provides owner’s rep and program and construction management services. Driving service excellence, controlling costs and mitigating risks are hallmarks of AE Works’ Project Services approach to project delivery that Hutchins will support.
A results-oriented project manager and former defense professional, Hutchins’ career spans 25+ years of experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams on Department of Defense, other mission critical and private sector projects to meet mission, schedule and budget requirements. Specific experience includes managing planning, design and construction of large-scale sites, physical security and emergency management.
Demetrios Giannoukos, EIT – Electrical Engineer EIT
AE Works is excited to welcome Demetrios Giannoukos, EIT as an Electrical Engineer – EIT in the firm’s newly expanded office in Arlington, VA. In this role, Giannoukos will be responsible for producing electrical design deliverables for AE Works projects, including federal government, healthcare and commercial projects. He joins a growing Engineering group with Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing expertise with whom he will collaborate to develop transformative design solutions for critical building projects.
Bringing diverse experience on public and private sector projects spanning 10,000-square feet to new construction high rises over 1 million square feet, Giannoukos has designed power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems for projects throughout the Washington DC metro region. A designated Engineer-in-Training, Giannoukos will complete his PE requirements in 2020. He has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Dawn Cindric, AIA – Manager, Architecture
AE Works is excited to announce the appointment of Dawn Cindric, AIA to the role of Manager, Architecture in the firm’s Pittsburgh headquarters. In support of the firm’s continued growth, this design leadership role will guide the architecture and interior design team, providing mentorship and technical oversight to ensure the successful execution of AE Works’ building projects throughout the company.
Bringing over 20 years of progressive building design experience, Cindric has provided leadership and management on high-profile private and public sector projects throughout the country. In her new role at AE Works, Cindric will champion architectural design expertise and leadership, supporting a culture where design innovation and technical craftsmanship thrive.
A registered architect in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a LEED Green Associate, Cindric has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Kent State. Prior to joining AE Works, Dawn served in senior Project Manager and Architecture roles at CannonDesign and Michael Baker.
Michael Carroll, PE, LEED AP, DCEP – Senior Project Manager
AE Works is excited to announce the appointment of Michael Carroll, PE, LEED AP, DCEP to the role of Senior Project Manager in the firm’s newly expanded office in the Washington, DC metro area. This critical client executive role provides management and design leadership to ensure the successful execution of AE Works’ federal building projects.
With a career spanning over 15 years, Carroll is a Registered Professional Engineer with extensive federal agency and specialized mission critical facility design experience. He has worked with designers, contractors, and both federal and private sector clients to complete all phases of project life cycles for data centers to highly secure government facilities.
As a Senior Project Manager, Carroll champions AE Works’ client experience, supporting excellence in project delivery for federal clients such as the National Institutes of Health. He ensures AE Works projects are completed with high degrees of proficiency and efficiency while utilizing team members’ strengths to meet budget and schedule requirements.
A registered engineer, LEED Accredited Professional and Data Center Energy Practitioner (DCEP), Carroll has a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.
Thomas Wallof, AIA, LEED AP BD+C – Project Architect
AE Works welcomes Thomas Wallof, AIA as a Project Architect in the firm’s newly expanded office in the Washington, DC metro area. Wallof will be responsible for the architectural design effort of AE Works projects spanning commercial, federal government and laboratory markets.
A skilled designer and registered architect, Wallof brings depth of laboratory experience. He has designed and managed over two-dozen lab renovations at the world’s premier research institution, the National Institutes of Health campus in Bethesda, MD in addition to federal government and healthcare projects.
Actively involved in the architecture community, Wallof currently serves on the MD American Institute of Architects (AIA) board as Secretary. He has a Master of Architecture from The University of Florida.
Ashley Swann, NCIDQ – Interior Designer
AE Works welcomes Ashley Swann, NCIDQ as an Interior Designer in the firm’s Washington, D.C. metro office. Swann will be responsible for leading interior design and space planning efforts on AE Works projects, including commercial interiors, federal government and healthcare projects. She joins a growing Architecture and Interior Design group with whom she will collaborate to develop transformative design solutions for critical building projects.
Bringing over a decade of progressive design experience for commercial, technology and government clients, Swann has managed and developed forward-looking workplace design solutions for projects throughout the Washington, DC region.
A National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) certified Interior Designer, Swann has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to joining AE Works, Ashley served in Interior Design roles at Studios Architecture and Wingate Hughes where she headed up a federal projects division and provided design leadership on commercial interiors projects, respectively.
Colby Campbell, NCIDQ – Interior Designer
AE Works is excited to welcome Colby Campbell, NCIDQ as an Interior Designer in the firm’s Pittsburgh headquarters. A part of AE Works’ Architecture and Interior Design team, Campbell will lead interior design and space planning efforts on AE Works projects, including commercial interiors, federal government and healthcare projects.
With focused commercial design experience, Campbell has led interior design efforts on corporate workplace and data center projects. Her work on these projects has involved 3D visualization and finish selections.
A National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) certified Interior Designer, Campbell has a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from La Roche University.
