AE Works’ 10th Year in Business Sees Growth and New Corporate Headquarters

AE Works marks ten years in business and continues on the path of growth with the move of their corporate headquarters from Larimer in Pittsburgh’ East End to the North Side.

According to AE Works President and CEO, Michael Cherock, PE, the move was necessitated by the significant growth the company is experiencing.

“Relocating to the North Side is the result of an exciting year for us as we mark ten years in business,” reflects Cherock.  “Continued acquisitions in the architectural and engineering industry make AE Works one of the few remaining full service A/E firms headquartered in Pittsburgh. Our office was selected and designed to support our continued growth in Pittsburgh.”

Now experiencing the firm’s largest growth period yet, AE Works’ larger headquarters on two floors of 209 Sandusky Street allows the local Pittsburgh firm to grow and hire new talent.   Over the past 10 years, AE Works has grown from a start-up to an established firm of thirty-four.

“Our new office is not only double in size than our previous office, but it also provides a better layout to enable our integrated building design and consulting services –  architecture, planning, engineering, security risk management and construction related services – all under one roof.  This office creates a better work environment for current and future employees and also helps us better serve our clients,”  adds Cherock, PE.

AE Works Design Architect Patrick Rakszawski, AIA led the AE Works team in the design of the office relocation.  He has been with AE Works over the past seven years and has been a part of the firm’s growth and moves from Station Square to Larimer, and now North Side.

“We were excited to put our mark on the space with in-house 3D printed signage, color that represents our creativity and energy, and most of all, open space to work as a team and design,” expresses Rakszawski.

This move marks further advancement of the firm’s roots and identity in Pittsburgh and the Mid-Atlantic region, but as Cherock notes, strong talent, resourcefulness and, above all, a unique integrated design approach have provided the biggest boost to the company’s growth in Pittsburgh and beyond.
