6th Fl. Community Living Center, James Van Zandt VA Medical Center

November 24th, 2014
Community Living Center

Complete with views overlooking the Allegheny Mountains, this 13,000-SF renovation transforms the sixth floor of the Medical Center into a welcoming and light-filled space for Veterans living on the floor to call home.

Focused on the highest standards, the renovation modernizes the existing floor to deliver world-class care in a comfortable environment that enhances resident privacy and dignity.

Promoting independence in the Community Living Center’s home-like setting, the design incorporates ample space for maximum comfort and privacy. Amenities and space was incorporated to accommodate visiting family members and caregivers, including day rooms, a hearth room and library.

Additionally, embodying a comfortable “just like home” feel, the new layout strategically separates medical spaces from living quarters.
