Laboratory and Vivarium Renovation, Philadelphia VA Medical Center

March 21st, 2018
laboratory planning and design
20,000-SF renovation to provide state-of-the-art medical research laboratories and upgrade vivarium facilities (cage wash/storage, necropsy, holding, operatory and prep facilities) in an occupied building.  In addition to laboratory facilities, the design provides offices, conference room, restrooms and locker facilities.

The design also involved several challenges to incorporate specialized equipment, including radioactive storage, lead-lined rooms for radiology and a cage wash.  Our team worked closely with the Philadelphia VAMC team to determine requirements to carefully assess existing conditions, infrastructure requirements and phasing to meet these needs.

As we mark 13 years in business today, we have a lot to be thankful for…
