Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum, Lighting Controls and Upgrade

August 31st, 2016
LED lighting upgrades

In an effort continuing to improve the facility and infrastructure for the Soldiers & Sailors, an ongoing number of projects are in process to preserve the historical integrity of this important National Register of Historic Places landmark while incorporating LEED and sustainable design strategies.

On average in the United States, lighting consumes 30-50% of a building’s energy. Most of the lighting energy is consumed by over illumination, older lamping with high wattages in the fixtures, and improper design. The goal for this project is to help Soldiers & Sailors realize potential for energy savings, lower maintenance costs, avoid exterior light pollution, and better overall light quality for the building through upgrade of lighting and controls.

As we mark 13 years in business today, we have a lot to be thankful for…
